SUMMER TERM


FKS and KS1 Sports afternoon

We had a great time at our Sports Afternoon!

   

 

Father's Day Lunches- June 15th

We invited our dads to have lunch with us to celebrate Father's Day.

 

Walking Bus-June 12th

We started our Walking Bus this week!

 

Year 3 Sun Downer and Year 5 and 6 Camp Out- Friday, June 9th

The children had a fantastic time at the above event. Fortunately, the rains stopped just in time for the fun to begin​.

 

Week of May 8th

On Sunday, some members of our choir sang at The Warwick Arts Centre with the Coventry and Warwickshire Youth Orchestra. It was a great occasion.

Chicks In reception

It was an exciting time in Reception as they watched the chicks hatch

April 27th and 28th

Nick, from the University of Warwick, came to do some chemistry with the KS2 classes. They had great fun!​

Fund Raising for Myton Hospice - March 24th

School Council organised a fund raising event to support Myton Hospice who are supporting a family in our school.

Thanks to Mrs Holland and Mrs Basson for helping them.


The Dol-Y-Moch Mile- March 19th, 2017

Children and staff took part in the Dol-y-Moch mile as part of the Coventry Half Marathon.


Year 3 and 4 Places of Worship visit- March 14th

The children had a great day visiting the Mosque and Gurdwara​.

World Book Day March 2017

We celebrated World Book Day with a series of events. We had Books for Breakfast in the hall before school.


We all dressed as our favourite book characters.​

We had a competition to bring in objects from our favourite books.

     
   
   
   


Harry Shaw Cup quarter finals, 16th February 2017

The year 5/6 football team have been doing incredibly well this season with a six month unbeaten run! Unfortunately. their streak was broken by Walgrave Academy with a 1-0 defeat at home. We are all incredibly proud of the team and their achievements and know they will continue to play future matches with the amazing maturity and sportsmanship they have shown all year. Special mentions to Dan and Ellie for making their team debut and Louis who was a very deserving Man of the Match! Well done everyone.


Young Voices​, 31st January 2017

The school choir were lucky to perform as part of the Young Voices choir at the Genting Arena. ​There were 6,500 children all singing together and was a truely memorable experince for the children and the parents in the audience. Even though it was a very long day, we had a fantastic time and are looking forward to doing it again next year!

   
   
   
   
   
   


Autumn TERM, 2017


Whitley Bake Off- September 29th

We had so many fantastic entries for our Bake Off- thank you to all our parents who entered. They were judged by our School Council and our Chair of Governors. Prizes were awarded to the Best Tasting Cake and the Best Decorated Cake.​

 
   


CONGRATULATIONS to Sarah Bonney who won the Best Tasting Cake and to Mia and Louis' mum who won the Best Decorated Cake.  

Macmillan Coffee Afternoon-September 29th

Our cakes were sold at the coffee afternoon- so many people attended to support this charity event. Thanks to the PTA who helped Mrs Basson, Mrs Holland and Mrs Faulks.

 

Choir sing at the Ricoh Arena- October 2nd

We were so proud of our choir as they sang in front of 16,000 people at the WASPS rugby match.


Fun for Fathers Pirate Event- October 19th

We had great fun at the pirate themed Fun for Fathers​.We decorated tresure chests, made pirate ships and hats and even made puppets out of socks which weren't smelly! A visiting pirate read us a story!

Thank you to Mrs Basson and Mrs Holland and all the other helpers for making this such a fun evening.​

 
   

   

Diwali Celebrations November 1st-4th

We had great fun celebrating Diwali​.

     


Christmas Craft Afternoon-Friday, December 2nd

​Lots of parents and grandparents joined us for our Christmas Crafts afternoon organised by Mrs Holland and Mrs Basson.


Choir On Tour - December 2016 

The members of our WhAM club have been out entertaining in the community singing at The Coventry City Retired Employees party, University College Hospital​, Bagintin Fieds School, Humber Court, Phil Mead House and at the Christingle Service at Coventry Cathedral.

 

Sports Events- December 2016

We are very proud of our Cross Country Team who performed really well at the Bablake competiton as well as our amazing biathletes who took part in a competition recently.
