Welcome to Year 3!

Year 3 have made a fantastic start to the year already. This half term, we have been studying the Stone Age, Iron Age and Bronze Age in history. The children have explored the possibility of being archaeologists, researching Stone Age life and looking at artefacts from the Stone Age. We have also been learning about skeletons, muscles and healthy, balanced diets. The children have explored the possibility of becoming chefs, creating a healthy and balanced dinner menu. In art, we have looked at the illustrator, Quentin Blake, and the children will be creating their own Stone Age man, imitating his style. The children have also begun to learn some French.

Next half term, the children will be looking at Climate Zones in history, Forces and Magnets in science and making Stone Age tools in DT. We will also be exploring more French vocabulary.
