Disabled Access
You are welcome to telephone the school office prior to your visit.
Please ring 024 76303392 if you have any questions regarding accessibility.
The school has a private drive with parking for disabled drivers closest to the school building’s main entrance. On arrival please report to the reception office where the office team will give you any assistance you should need.
As the school is built on a slope there are a number of levels within the school that are accessible by lifts or ramps.
All of Reception and Key Stage One is on the same level with one easy access toilet within this section. There is a disabled toilet with shower unit in the school’s main entrance and two further facilities in the Family Room and upper corridor in our new building. Emergency pull cords summon support from the school office.
There are three lifts within the building, one servicing the new build from the lower to second floor, one to provide access to a Key Stage Two classroom and one to access the lower deck of the main hall. Staff will provide assistance as necessary. On the top floor there is an emergency refuge call point which goes to the school office.
In the event of an emergency evacuation there are two evacmats available to assist evacuation down the stairs. Staff receive regular training on how to use the mats.
